Wasp Classes: Utility, Hauler, Striker and Scout
Compare the current ATMOSFAR Wasp roles and find out why the Scout is part of the roadmap rather than a fourth launch aircraft.

Which Wasp matches your next task?
Use this role comparison before preparing a trip:
| Class | Documented purpose | Planning priority |
|---|---|---|
| Utility | Carries a buildable camp | Workshop and supply stops |
| Hauler | Retrieves heavy scrap with a magnet | Collection and transport |
| Striker | Agile armed aircraft | Handling and combat readiness |
| Scout | Planned scanning and exploration craft | Future Rime content |

Why do old pages use different names?
The general website describes Cargo and Fighter roles, while the current Steam description and launch guide use Hauler and Striker. This guide follows the launch terminology. An older class description is useful background, but should not be used to invent a separate additional aircraft or assume that an older feature behaves identically in the released build.
Can you obtain a Scout at launch?
The October 27 roadmap says the Rime Update adds the Scout and the third region. Treat it as planned content until a later release note confirms its arrival. A screenshot, old trailer or reference to four classes across the full game is not evidence of a current Scout unlock location. We are not publishing a fabricated quest route for it.
Which one is the best?
There is no supported universal winner. A vehicle suited to returning heavy salvage is not interchangeable with one carrying a camp, and combat mobility does not replace either logistical function. Compare the purpose of the trip, the equipment you can actually build and the route conditions. The public sources do not support a numerical tier list of speed, carrying capacity or fuel efficiency.
